At Feyen Zylstra, we believe that giving back to our communities is more than a value—it’s a responsibility. Through our FZimpact, every FZer is given 8 paid hours every year to volunteer at a nonprofit of their choice. It’s a way for our team to make a difference in the places and causes they care about most.
Recently, two of our Grand Rapids FZers, Ben Pilger and Randy Davis, used their FZimpact hours to take on a project that’s both powerful and deeply personal. Together, they built and installed over 30 flag poles at the Cedar Springs Cemetery in Cedar Springs, MI. These new flag poles will join over 200 existing flag poles, each serving as a tribute to a fallen veteran—an enduring symbol of honor, sacrifice, and remembrance.
We’re incredibly proud of Ben and Randy for their initiative, craftsmanship, and heart. Their story is a shining example of what FZimpact is all about: empowering FZers to serve with purpose.
To all our veterans—thank you for your service. And to our team—thank you for making an impact that matters.
