Internship FAQs

Is this a paid internship?

Yes, it is. We pay every Friday.

How long does the internship last?

The internship lasts 12-14 weeks in the summer, kicking off in May and ending in August.

What are the typical office hours for this internship?

This internship offers a 40-hour in-person work week, Monday through Friday. Specific hours can be agreed upon with the hiring manager.

Do I need electrical experience for this position?

No! It takes many different departments and backgrounds to keep FZ running. We absolutely welcome interns who are new to the electrical or construction industry!

What's the difference between an Apprenticeship and an Internship?

Check out our Apprenticeship Program here. FZ’s Electrical Apprentice Program offers on-the-job training where individuals earn while they learn the electrical trade to become a licensed electrician over the course of four years. At the end of the program, they'll be eligible to take your Journeyperson’s exam.
