- Produces a strong odor
Natural Gas Generators
Pros:
- Readily-available fuel source (connect to pipeline fuel delivery system)
- Cost less to build
- Fuel burns cleaner than diesel
- Does not produce a strong odor
Cons:
- Require more frequent maintenance, resulting in more maintenance costs and downtime
- Shorter life span
- Costly to run
- Take up more space
- Natural disasters and the utility company can disrupt natural gas flow
- Emits more carbon dioxide than diesel
- Can be extremely explosive and a fire hazard
