Preventative Maintenance Measures
For years, Feyen Zylstra has served as Bradford White's trusted electrical and industrial technology partner, providing service and solutions for many large-scale projects. As a manufacturing facility, Bradford White understands the importance of preventative maintenance, to the degree that they proactively employ FZ to perform important preventative maintenance tasks on their equipment on an annual basis.
One of the annual preventative tasks that our team performs is an arc flash study. Within the arc flash study, our team assesses Bradford White's power system to determine the incident energy available on their electrical substations and label them accordingly. Since Bradford White is always expanding and adapting their plant floor, completing an annual arc flash study helps ensure that their employees are protected against dangerous electrical arc faults.
Our team also performs an annual IR Thermography scan on all of Bradford White's major pieces of equipment. Using a thermal imager that detects infrared energy, our team is able to identify electrical overloads, failures, poor connections, hot spots, and hazards before they become costly issues. Owing to our close and trusted relationship, our team remedies these issues immediately, saving Bradford White from potential equipment failure and shutdowns.
Lastly, our team also helps Bradford White with routine maintenance and cleaning of their production lines. Just recently, our team performed preventive maintenance on their main lines, cleaning cabinets, inspecting and tightening connections, reviewing wiring raceways for damage, etc.
All of these measures help extend Bradford White's equipment lifespan, improve production reliability and quality, and provide their team with peace of mind.
